March brought about our dinosaur unit. We all enjoyed becoming paleontologists and studying a variety of dinosaurs. We learned that dinosaurs were herbivores, carnivores or omnivores. We found out how many preschoolers could fit in a dinosaur footprint and worked on measuring things. We practiced our scissor skills, worked on making dinosaurs out of our pattern blocks and even got to make our own fossils. We also got very good at clapping the syllables of the dinosaur names. Some dinosaur names have 5 claps! We all learned that stegosaurus had plates on their back, triceratops had three big horns, apatosaurus had a really long neck and tyrannosaurus rex was fierce while singing our song, “Do You Know?” All in all it was roar-some time!
